This barn has been on Nelson Bay Road for years and years and I thought of taking a photo of it for the 31 days of rust theme. Unfortunately, at the moment Nelson Bay Road is in the process of being upgraded and they are working on a section of it for a dual carriageway. As a result of this you can't stop and take a photo. I took this photo from the car as we were driving past, so it is one of Gena's famous windshield photos @eyesmile
I hope tourists visiting the area really don't think this is the Seabreeze Hotel and bottle shop. It won't do much for our tourist industry.
Thank you all so much for your lovely comments on my komodo dragon photo yesterday. Sorry I haven't answered individually, but I have been out all day again today. Photography presentation this morning and medical appointment this afternoon.
I have read all your comments and favs and thank you so much for putting the dragon on the Trending Page and the Popular Page. I really do appreciate all your support.
This barn is on land which I believe is owned by the Cromerty family and the house you can see behind it is huge. they have horses and run horse riding classes too I believe. I supoose the barn is in use for something, but not sure what.
As you can see it is fully air conditioned too.
Because of the dual carriageway being built. The owners land has been reduced, so I suppose it is best that the barn stays there as it shields the view to the main house behind it. I don't think they will be happy when the road is up and running.
@golftragic Just goes to show, it doesn't matter how much money you have got, if they decide to improve the road your property will be cut if you buy in the wrong place.
I loved the dragon photo, I'm so happy it made it to the popular page.
Thanks for your lovely comments. I hope you have never stayed in a place as bad as this. I am not sure I would put an advert on the wall of this barn advertising the Seabreeze Hotel. the Seabreeze is in Nelson Bay.
