Friday people day again and this picture is of a friend of mine giving a presentation at our local U3A.
The committee of our U3A are putting together a slide show at the end of the year showing various presenters and their presentations throughout the year and this is one of the photos I took.
I thought this would be ideal for the shadows and light theme. This photo is taken in a darkened room with only the light through the vertical blinds. It is dark because there is a projector and screen showing clips of shows by various popular artists. The course was called Live in Concert and each week a different band or singer featured. I think this particular week the subject was Bob Dylan.
Sorry I have been a bit slack in checking out your photos again, but we were out last night at a photography presentation by a local photographer on Vietnam. Fantastic presentation and wonderful photos too. We were out for dinner afterwards with friends, so didn't get home till late.
Thanks to all who commented on my recent photos and hopefully I will be able to check out your photos tonight.
@quietpurplehaze Thanks Hazel. This event was a course called "Live in Concert" and it was about bands and pop stars dating back to the 60s. Judith does such a brilliant presentation and gives lots of info about the subject on the day and also has lots of videos of them playing their songs etc.
@scarybird@kathiecb U3A is known as the University of the Third Age and is a world wide organization where people of 'a certain age' can join and they have classes in all sorts of subjects. No exams though, we are past that. All interesting subjects. Our U3A has lots of things including a walking group, talks by members about their overseas trips, Music, Books, Family History, Photography, Games which includes lawn bowls, scrabble, cards, mah-jong etc. Computing, Art, and lots more. It is fun and you just go to whichever subjects you please. It costs the grand sum of $30 a year to join and we also have a bus trip each term. It is great fun.
