As I was looking through some of my previous photos with a view of using them for the skies collage theme, these four pictures were the ones left over when I had finished my collage yesterday. So I thought I would put them on here today.
The top left is of Newcastle Cathedral, the top right is at Salamander Bay, the bottom left is at Nelson Bay breakwater and the bottom right is of the Hunter River industrial scene in Newcastle of the coal loaders and the Orica Chemical works.
We have been in Newcastle all day today because we were visiting a friend in hospital. I have taken some photos but not had chance yet to process them. So this is a filler.
The sun has been shining today but it has been freezing cold and only reached 12 degrees c (53f) and I would imagine that there is definitely snow in the hills about 70 km from where we live.
Apparently our chilly weather is due to is a cold snap coming up the coast of Australia from Antarctica. Hope it warms up again soon.
What a beautiful sunset collage Babs. Hard to choose which is the best so I can see why you presented them this way. I think that my fav is the top left...no, wait a minute! The top left...no,...oh! I love them all! FAV
@eyesmile Thanks so much Gena. ha ha. I had the same problem picking a favourite too. They all have a bit of a story. The top left one of the cathedral was taken from Fort Scratchley where we went to an open air musical recital. The orchestra were playing the 1812 overture and I looked behind and saw this.
The bottom right one I like too because where I live we usually get ocean sunsets and to get an industrial sunset when we visit Newcastle is a bonus. I love industrial scenes.
Thanks so much for your lovely comment and fav. really made me smile.
it is quite chilly :)
It is freezing here at the moment. Not used to this. I usually wear a waterproof to keep out the wet in winter, but yesterday I wore a coat for the first time in about 17 years. Not since we lived in Melbourne have I worn a coat.
