Posting a bit early today because we are out tonight.
I see so many flower photos on 365, but very rarely take photos of them myself.
I had a look through my last years folder and saw that I only posted three flower photos in the whole year. One was of poppies on Anzac Day, one was of a bunch of roses a friend bought me when I fractured my wrist and one was of a mackerel sky from our garden with a frangipani bush in the foreground.
This photo I took when we were in New Zealand because a friend said why don't I take a photo of these beautiful foxgloves. So to please her I did.
Foxgloves do bring back memories of my childhood though and of walking through the woods. We used to pick the wild flowers and bring them home for Mum.
Beautiful, close up detail, colour and composition, I will have to wait until midsummer to see these in bloom here, once considered as deadly poisonous recent tests show they're toxic but not deadly - so eating them still isn't recommended Babs, lol:)
Three flower photos in a year!! I post more than that in a week (raises eyebrows in alarm!!). Seriously, this is a wonderful capture of foxgloves with great detail. It would be a pretty repetitive 365 if we all posted the same thing, variety is what makes it so amazing!
