I've Seen Everything Now!

While I was doing my shopping a couple of days ago I came across a new selection of yoghurts at the supermarket, this was one of them. Beetroot and strawberry yoghurt isn't an obvious marriage of foods in my opinion. I had to buy it, mainly to use it as a photography subject, but also to see how the mixture of beetroot, yoghurt and strawberry went together. The answer to that is, well it is edible, but I don't think I will buy another one. I need a cup of tea now to take the taste out of my mouth.

I thought I would give this photo the Andy Warhol treatment. It has been done with soup, marmite, Marilyn Monroe etc so why not beetroot and strawberry yoghurt.

For any Brits out there, the yoghurt does have a touch of the Vicar of Dibley, Letitia Cropley feel about it. For any non Brits, the character of Letitia was well known for her peculiar cooking habits - chocolate cake with tomato sauce filling was one of her creations. (It was a comedy programme).
Hmm I'm not sure about that flavour either, made me smile you bought it for photography, I like the shot and the editing and collage, well worth the purchase :-)

Very unusual flavour, as a food adventurist, I would love to try it on.

Did you try some....

Lovely presentation Babs, possible your the only one to buy it, I'm with you it must be an acquired taste much in the pages of Letitia Cropley's cook book, lol:)

Love the Andy Warhol treatment.

My goodness, what next! You are brave to try it in my opinion but they have made a good photo opportunity

A nice topping for a grated beetroot and chocolate mud cake. A great collage, love the colours :)

I loved the Vicar of Dibley! (used to be on the ABC here). Great processing and collage Babs.

Ha ha -- your comment brings back such hilarious memories of "The Vicar of Dibley " !!

I love beetroot in chocolate cake, but I can't imagine that a beetroot and strawberry yoghurt would be too palatable :)

I love the colors. Very interesting.
April 29th, 2016
Lots of lovely colours.

Uh,not a flavour I could go with! Like the treatment you gave it though.

Good bit of Andy Warhol processing and your reference to Letitia Cropley made me smile as I remember her well. The mixture doesn't stir my taste buds.

Can't say I would fancy this Babs. I like beetroot and I like strawberries but they don't appeal as a combination

Super piece of Andy Warhol impression. Definitely wouldn't enjoy the flavour as I don't like beetroot.

Yummy shot

Strawberry and beetroot doesn't sound like a marriage made in heaven I have to say! Great processing Babs.
April 29th, 2016
I think you have done the best thing possible with these yoghurts. Very effective Warhol shot.
April 29th, 2016
I like the Warhol theme but keep the yoghurt in Australia.

Good for you for trying the new flavour, it does sound like an odd combination. You've done a great job with the pots.
April 29th, 2016
It does sound a strange combination, you can now say you have given it a go! Haha
Nice composition Babs

I love what you have done here Babs. I like beetroot in some things - e.g. a chocolate cake recipe I have uses grated beetroot and is delicious, but it is a bit overpowering with strawberry I think!

like the way you have worked these images Babs...makes for a great collage
April 30th, 2016
I really like what you have done with the shot. And you are very brave for trying out that combination.

I like this pop art! I'm not sure about the flavour though!
