Stockton Sand Dunes by onewing

Stockton Sand Dunes

I am posting a bit early today because we are out this evening and I've had rather a busy day.

Here is another photo taken at Birubi Beach of the Stockton Sand Dunes. This has to be one of my favourite beaches in our area.

The stormy weather has passed now and the sun is shining. Relieved that no serious damage was done in our area this time.
Such a vast area of sand, very well portrayed in this photo. It is interesting that you like this beach as it looks so desolate, or is that just the lighting.

@ethelperry The dunes are quite desolate. They go on for 32 km from here at Anna Bay to Stockton in Newcastle. You can't see the height of some of the dunes from this photo, but they are huge.

@shirleybankfarm @hermann @beachdog @cmp @happysnaps @cherrymartina @novab @mittens @seattlite @ladymagpie @kwind @carolmw @bkbinthecity @365projectorgjenfurj @pippie @ziggy77 @inthecloud5 @vera365 Thanks everyone sorry for the group reply, but on the run again today. You can't really see the vastness of the sand dunes from this shot, but they go on for 32 km from here at Birubi Beach, Anna Bay to Stockton in Newcastle. Some of the dunes are huge and I have walked some of them once from the main road to Tin City which is a group of about 12 shacks. Hard going on the legs and we walked about 10 km over the dunes.
