We went for a wander along the foreshore in Nelson Bay this afternoon and I saw this girl checking out the stalls at the Sacred Tree Market. I just loved her braided hair and thought she would be ideal for my Friday people photo.
What a delightful portrait of this beautiful lady ! I also love her braided hair , a gorgeous colour so startling against her denim jacket and the colour of her skin . If you hadn't told us , I imagine her singing in this shot , perhaps in a Gospel choir !! a BIG FAV ,Babs .
Such lovely hair. I'd like that in purple. The only problem could be the same as a young lady we met in the pub who had a similar hairstyle. She hadn't washed it for about 3 months & said it was starting to itch.....
Always wonder how long they leave their hair like this. Always looks tidy & im thinking it's a few hours of work there! The plaits looks very neat, you would think after sleeping on them for a few nights they would look frizzy but they never seem to.
@happypat I took a photo a few months ago of a girl with braids like this and she told me that it took four hours to braid her hair.
I don't know how long this girl had her hair like this, but I suppose she could wear a hairnet at night to keep it in place. Can you still get hairnets these days?
I have a friend whose adopted daughter wears her halo like this from time to time. I confirm that ’getting it done' is a 4hour investment of time, although in Chloe's case, not a moment is resented. Another fact to recognise is that hair types from differing racial groups do not necessarily
'behave' in the same way.
and she told me that it took four hours to braid her hair. I suppose this girl would have experienced something similar and of course you have the colour too.
