Thanks everyone for your well wishes for David. His back is slightly less painful today and as I am the chief driver at the moment, I managed to get him in and out of the car to take him to a U3A writing course he attends today. I did the shopping while he was there and collected him afterwards.
You don't realize until you are reduced to only driving one car with one driver just how difficult it is to fit everything in during the day, especially when you are as busy as we usually are.
Even without his back problems though he wouldn't be able to drive at the moment anyway because of his funny turn last week. He can't drive until he get the results of the MRI and that could be a while.
As I am limited on time and opportunity to take photos at the moment I am posting a series of photos taken at Paterson a few weeks ago.
Today's photo is a 'then and now' photo' of Paterson Post Office. As you can see not much has changed to the building since it was built in 1883.
A nice building and lovely to see in b/w v colour and the then and now -- a great exercise for my brain 1st thing this morning at " spot the difference " !!! A get well soon to David and take care of yourself to you !
I love this comparison, so interesting. Model railway assisting is clearly a dangerous occupation from what you said on mine!! I shall be careful and keep an eye on the boys.....!! Hope the back settles down for him again speedily.
Lovely to see the building pretty much as it was, only the building at the back not there but that's a good thing. Beautiful arched windows! Just do as much as you need to do Babs, sure if you stay home & receive visitors as in the old days you will be inundated with friends!!
Sorry to hear about your husband but hope he makes a full recovery & life gets back to normal for you soon
