Yesterday I had a medical appointment in Newcastle, so after my appointment we wandered around the shops in Hamilton and spotted these pavement mosaics.
Over the next few days I will post some of the photos I spotted in Hamilton. Some of the mosaics are a bit worse for wear, but they do have a lot of people walking on them and they have been there for quite a few years.
Pavement mosaics you said? People thread on them all of the time, I suppose, and they may not last very long. That would be a pity, they are so lovely.
lovely collection - I look forward to seeing more. I wonder if the topics relate to the things around them - eg were the ice creams next to an ice cream shop or café? As said above - not easy to get a good square angle on these. You seem to have everything perfectly aligned.

@suzanne234 Sorry Suzanne I don't know the history behind the mosaics. They have been there for a long time though.
@golftragic I did a mosaic once they aren't easy. Mine looked rather like Newcastle after the earthquake though. I will have to send you a photo of it one day.
