I was sitting in our family room with a friend a couple of days ago comparing the settings between our little point and shoot cameras and I took this photo from the family room, through the patio, to the garden and when I uploaded the photos to my computer today from the camera I quite liked this photo, so thought I would post it today.
I noticed that the frangipani flowers are beginning to drop from the tree more often now. You can see them on the ground in this shot if you look carefully.
It has been so hot today I haven't set foot outside other than put two loads of washing on the line. The washing dried in about half an hour because of the heat. No idea what happened to Autumn, we are back to summer temperatures.
Yu have a beautiful room and view of your grades. It has been so hot and windy here today and we had a massive dust storm that lasted most of the afternoon. It is meant to get cold later in the week.
We've woken to snow! In spring here. It's minus one. As eldest said yesterday the weather is all mixed up like it's been in a washing machine! Ilike this image. Looks homely
Beautiful room. Great photo too, it could be from a home & gardens magazine. We have snow & winter temperatures at the moment when it should be Spring !
Nice shot you certainly have a nice place to relax. Here in the UK were wondering what happened to spring! It's currently -1c outside and a blanket of snow. Don't think our washing would dry very well!
And we are back to winter Babs! Swop you!
I love your family room, it looks a beautiful place to sit & spend family time. Thank you for showing us a little bit of your lovely home. I got all my washing dried today too even though it froze on the line to start with. Luckily a cold wind so it soon got moving & eventualy dried quite well
Interesting shot, lots of points of interest. I am particularly drawn to the 2 teddies in the chair and the one in the pushchair too. Freezing here today Babs :(
@nicolecampbell Meant to get colder here later in the week too. Dust storms are awful. We had a terrible one a few years ago and I along with lots of other people ended up with psittacosis because we inhaled bacteria from birds in the dust.
@newbank Thanks Ruth. It was 37 degrees C here yesterday. Today is cooler and rain expected later in the week which we desperately need. You would never believe it is autumn here.
Hope you are keeping well.
@happypat Thanks Pat, it is a lovely spot to sit and watch the birds in the garden or bathing in the bird bath. We put out seed for them and very often hang a seed block from the frangipani.
It was 37 degrees C here yesterday, cooler today.
@pcoulson It was 37 degrees c here yesterday and pretty warm. I think that would melt your snow. I'll send some your way. Not doing a swap though, I have seen enough snow for this lifetime and don't miss it at all.
@flowerfairyann@stephanies Thanks. I picked up the two teddies in the rocking chair from junk shops. Had to buy them because they were looking very forlorn and unwanted. The rocking chair was mine when I was little and our kids loved it too when they were young.
Beautiful room, love it. The weather's nuts. We can have summer one day, autumn the next. Calm one day, blowing a howling gale of up to 100 Km/h the next. I did all our sweaty stuff after gold on Saturday, less then an hour later they were back in the wardrobe. As I said, nuts.

Babs - looks like you have a lovely home with lots of space.
