Grain Silos - Newcastle by onewing

Grain Silos - Newcastle

We have been out and about a lot today and only just got home, so here is another photo from our walk at Stockton last week.

This is a photo of the grain silos on the Newcastle side of the river taken from Stockton.
Love the silos. How did your hospital ordeal go?

@golftragic Appointment is tomorrow, barium swallow and then we are out for lunch with friends. Lunch will be a lot tastier than barium I am sure.

Today we were at a U3A talk on Ancient History this morning and we visited John and Elizabeth this afternoon in the nursing home.

Lovely shot of these silos. I have done the Barium swallow, it is not half as bad as expected. Good luck and enjoy your lunch :-)

@ludwigsdiana I have had lots of barium swallows so I know that. Its not having my morning cuppa that I have a problem with. Ha ha

Great contrast between man and nature

That is a big operation! Well Jerry likes all four flavors of the barium drinks they have now. When I was quite young I had to drink some and it was like drinking chalk. It’s great they have improved the flavor! I hope all goes well and the results are what you want them to be.

@merrelyn @hermann @louannwarren Thanks. The taste has improved over the years. I can remember when it tasted like chalk too Lou Ann. I just have to have one more test before the surgery is planned.

It is good that the tastes have improved. At least they are bearable now. Anything there'll help with the surgery is worth it.

Beautiful capture of them.

Hope you keep well. Thanks for sharing.

Gosh they are huge!
Hope your barium swallow goes well. I have a gastroscopy on Friday, so I sympathise on the lack of a cup of tea! They won't let me even drink water after 4 hours before but I am looking forward to my late lunch when it's all over and a nice cup of tea then!
