Following on from yesterday's aboriginal art collage taken at the hospital here are some more of the artworks on the corridors at the John Hunter Hospital.
The top left artwork depicts the Pasha Bulker that ran aground in a storm in 2007 off the coast of Newcastle. If anyone is interested, here is a link about the ship, now renamed the MV Drake https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MV_Drake
The top right emu picture is similar to yesterday's photo only I think more colourful.
We don't tend to see aboriginal art in black and white so I quite liked the bottom right artwork.
My favourite out of this selection is definitely the top right.
I found it hard to pick a favourite from yesterday's selection.
I am feeling much better today. Last night I went to bed early so didn't get chance to check out your photos. I will try and catch up more over the weekend.
I find it so interesting that the hospital obviously has an art committee that selects and rotates the hospital’s art displays. Here you see the same art, they don’t change the pieces. I love this collage, the hands around Australia are amazing, the alligator lower left is too. The llama is fabulous. It is impossible to choose just one, you are so right. Thank you for sharing these!
I agree with @louannwarren. So nice that they rotate the artwork. These are all wonderful. I agree that I have never seen aboriginal art I black and white. very unique. I am glad that you are feeling better.
