After the Fire by onewing

After the Fire

A few weeks ago we had a bushfire not far from where I live and here is a photo taken after the fire that came so close to our local community centre and library.

This photo was taken from the car park of the community centre and next to the shopping centre where this next photo was taken of the actual fire.

Wow looking at your other shot it was certainly rather close for comfort. There were a few fires in the UK during the hot summer. Not much chance now as it's rather wet!

Fires are good and bad things, but this is a wonderful image

It's so sad that this was started by an arsonist. I hope they catch them. A truly powerful image when you know what caused it.

Oh my. So glad it didn't get any closer to the community centre and library.
December 28th, 2018
How very sad Babs....fire does such damage but this is strangely beautiful.

So sad.
December 28th, 2018
So sad to see the result of the fire. The good thing is that nature itself take care and replace greens very soon after it. Hope nobody has any damage of it.
December 28th, 2018
Definitely too close for comfort!

Spooky

I agree with Pat, even though it looks sad it does look strangely beautiful.

@rjb71 I heard about your fires in the UK this summer, must have been quite scary for you. They are a regular occurrence here so we are used to them.

@olivetreeann I doubt they will catch the arsonist who started this fire. I believe the police did check CCTV cameras at the shopping centre, library car park and at private houses along the route but nothing definite was found.
