I'm back. We have been away up the coast for a few days and this was the last photo I took yesterday.
I will fill in the gaps when I get chance and comment on your photos once I have unpacked and got myself organized at home again.
Here you can see David walking down from the lighthouse. It doesn't look very far from the car park to the top but it is a steep climb and at 30+ degrees C with 70% humidity it was a killer. You can see how the path twists round behind the building in the foreground.
When we got back to the motel after dinner last night David had a bit of a funny turn and became very vague. I think he had overheated and was suffering from a combination of too much sun and dehydration. Luckily he is a lot better today, but we are still tired after our journey from South West Rocks to home today of about 320 km. Luckily most of the journey is on the Pacific Highway and quite an easy drive with not too heavy traffic.
He might have been suffering from heat exhaustion or even worse...heat stroke. Scary! Be careful. Rest up and take care. Stay out of the humidity and high temperature for a few days...
What a shame to have that worry at the end of your break. Climbing steep slopes in the intense heat might also give me a funny turn. Hope he can keep well hydrated.
Always nice to have a change of scenery for a few days but I'm sure you're glad to be home after David's 'turn'. Hope he is back to normal soon. This looks a magnificent lighthouse.
Great shot- I love lighthouses and this one looks so pretty. I hope all is well with David now- that must be scary especially when you're not home and near the doctors who know his medical history. Glad you're not pushing yourselves. I've been off a while too, so I'll browse through your pics but say they're all great here!
I then had to have another blood test. After that I stocked up on grocery shopping again and I have also done a few loads of washing. Tomorrow I will have a nice quiet day.
David is much better now. His problem is that he doesn't drink enough water for our hot climate. I always take water out with us but trying to get him to drink it is a devil of a job. I always drink plenty of water to keep hydrated.
I hope David recovered from the possible heat stroke. It can be terrible to get overheated. Nice pic of him and the lighthouse, it does look like quite a climb.
@bella_ss It was quite a climb and David just doesn't drink enough water. We had water with us too, but I think the heat and humidity sucked all the strength out of him by the time we got back to the motel. He is much better now though and he has learned his lesson. He has been drinking much more water now we are home again because it is still so hot here.
