Common Grass Yellow Butterfly

There were so many of these grass yellows in the butterfly house. I guess that is why they are called 'common'

Beautiful shot and I like this butterfly. Last year I saw one of these butterflies and followed everywhere it went until it flew away to try and capture with its wings opened. But each time it stopped its wings where closed immediately.

I saw quite a few of these butterflies and they all seemed to gravitate to purple flowers. I guess that must have been their favourite colour.

@sangwann Know what you mean Dione, every time this particular butterfly landed on a flower its wings closed. I didn't manage to get a single shot with its wings open.
