It has been a long day today. I went to vote this morning for the Federal election at 8.30 am and then picked up a friend to drive her to a festival at Raymond Terrace and we have only just got home.
It has been a beautiful day as you can see by the blue sky. Not bad weather considering it will be winter in two weeks time.
I saw these steampunkers and asked if I could take a photo. They were in the area because they are going to a Steampunk Ball this evening in Newcastle.
After I dropped my friend off at her home I called in to see Elizabeth in the care home. I am taking her to the cinema on Tuesday to see Top End Wedding and I had to let the staff know that I would be taking her out.
I now need a cup of tea and a sit down before I check out your photos this evening.
Somebody on 365 has just told me that my Marina photo is on the top twenty, but I haven't checked it out yet. Thanks so much for putting it there.
@merrelyn@cutekitty There are only a couple of places over here that have Steampunk festivals too but I think it will catch on more soon.
@peterday Yes you can join in the dancing Peter, but I think the Irish dancing and the jazz dancing at this festival would be a bit much for you. Maybe the Steampunk Ball may have more sedate dancing.

Glad you enjoyed Top End Wedding. I hope Elizabeth enjoys it, I am sure she will. She probably won't remember it later because she has Alzheimer's but at least she will be there in the moment.
@onewing That's so nice of you to take her. If she has ever travelled to the Top End she may see scenes which she will remember. And it is quite funny in parts so she should get a laugh. Cheers Rob

Just off to Newcastle today because David has an appointment at the Eye Centre, he has glaucoma so has to have eyes checked every three months. I am the responsible adult today (there's a worry)
