As we were coming out of the library yesterday, after checking out the photo exhibition, I spotted this orb spider hanging quite high up on the corner of the building. I had to use quite a lot of zoom to capture it.
I think they are such beautiful spiders, as long as they are high up in the air. I hate walking through a web and finding a spider like this in the middle of it.
This particular one was about 4 inches long (10 cm) but has the potential to grow much bigger as long as a bird doesn't come along and eat it.
