It was so interesting watching the pelicans hopeful of being given offcuts of fish.

Glad the pelicans gave you a smile. The seem to be waiting patiently at the moment, but once a piece of fish is thrown it is a free for all. There are always lots of fishermen around so I don't think the pelicans starve.

@fbailey No they don't tend to grab any fish but the seagulls do. Gulls aren't quite as patient.
