Coral by onewing

Coral

Thanks to everyone who commented on yesterday's photo. I have a friend who is a marine biologist and when I can contact her I will ask if she can identify yesterday's 'eggs on a sponge' photo.

I also found this beautiful coral on the beach and put it on a rock to get a better picture of it. It looks so delicate and is only about 5 cm (2 inches) long.
Such a wonderful find and shot, seems as if you were treasure hunting ๐Ÿ˜‰

For those of you who commented on yesterday's strange eggs that features in yesterday's photo. Here is an explanation as to what they are. If you scroll down to the bottom of the comments you will see the reply from a marine biologist friend of mine who emailed me this morning explaining what they are.

I think I will put her reply in the narrative to this photo too.

Wonder what caused its demise

@fbailey Probably got broken off a larger piece of coral in the huge ocean waves and strong winds we have been having.
