Thanks to everyone who commented on yesterday's photo. I have a friend who is a marine biologist and when I can contact her I will ask if she can identify yesterday's 'eggs on a sponge' photo.
I also found this beautiful coral on the beach and put it on a rock to get a better picture of it. It looks so delicate and is only about 5 cm (2 inches) long.
What a gorgeous find - will be pleased to know what those sea eggs were - spent a couple of hours googling last night and got side tracked more than once but to no avail ! - strange but interesting way to spend one's Friday night ! h ha !!
For those of you who commented on yesterday's strange eggs that features in yesterday's photo. Here is an explanation as to what they are. If you scroll down to the bottom of the comments you will see the reply from a marine biologist friend of mine who emailed me this morning explaining what they are.
....hope itโs not a bad thing.....is it dying?
@happypat Yes Pat the coral is dead.

I think I will put her reply in the narrative to this photo too.
