Boats Going Nowhere by onewing

Boats Going Nowhere

Another photo taken over the Easter weekend but didn't post because I was doing the 30 days one subject theme.

Nothing has changed at the marina and the boats are still not going anywhere due to the Covid-19 crisis.

I wonder how much longer they will be out of action.
Always nice to see the boats. They are one thing which will go back to normal one day.

Poor boats. Made to sail and stuck in harbour. Pretty sight though with them all berthed and at home.

Lovely shot of the marina. The naming of the weekdays as you wrote yesterdays is very hilarious. But I always say "better laugh and laugh out load" because the day will come when you have to cry.

Looks like you had glorious weather over Easter

I so like marina shots...all the beautiful boats all huddled together.

The boats just moored there must be frustrating for some. Good shot.

@ethelperry Lets just hope the owners can still afford to keep them when that happens.

@dide @kjarn @tinley23 @santina @pcoulson @pusspup @casablanca @julzmaioro @sangwann @happysnaps @gamelee Thanks, I walk here most days because it is just down the road from where I live. It feels odd seeing it so quiet.

@nicolecampbell Hi Nicole good to see you here again. Yes we had lovely weather over Easter, in fact we had lovely weather until yesterday when a cold spell hit. Lit our fire for the first time last night. I think it will get warm again later in the week though.

Super capture

Sad for the boat owners...our son in NZ bought a boat two weeks before lock down so they are desperate to go out in it again!

Great capture

Great shot of the boats. A pitty they can sail now.

They'll all be off one day, would be great out on the water

Our state is starting to lift some of the bans and continuing to emphasize mask wearing and social distancing. So hopefully it won't be too long before your area follows suit. It's about time is all I can say! Nice shot.

Looks quite eerie.

This would make a great puzzle.

@pdulis @ludwigsdiana @kwind @mittens @beryl @fishers @craftymeg @seattlite @pyrrhula @carole_sandford @gilbertwood @joannakate @olivetreeann @nickspicsnz @lynne5477 I am sure they will be out and about again one day.

@golftragic This is the cheaper end of the marina. You should see the size of some of the boats further along. Prices of those would make your eyes water. I am sure the owners of some don't earn an honest living.

@onewing Some trips on dark nights maybe? I don't get boats at all. I've told Les that if I as much as express interest in any sort of boat she needs to call the doctor.

So sad to see the effects of the virus. Hope they're able to set sail soon.
