I took this shot on my trip through the desert. This was one of ten stops that I made whilst everyone waited as I pulled over to take a shot...eleven...twelve...well, anyway it was one of the "I gotta pull over and shoot that" moments!

Definitely worth the wait! Similar on our recent holiday with kids going 'not again Mum!' but they are nevertheless very patient with me! Beautiful shot. Reminds me of my childhood. Thanks for sharing. FAV!
Haha! I know that feeling (think all us 365ers do!) My husband is very long suffering and slightly impatient... my kids are better and more understanding!
wonderful scenery and clouds, those rusty iron wheels are a great focal point - at least when you keep pulling over the kids are whining they need to stop and get out as often
Yes Jerry, let 'em wait a few minutes to record an image that will last a lifetime! A great combination of a single man-made object against the vastness of nature..

i just love how this looks when i view it large. unreal shot....and kinf of almost 3D or something. maybe im losing it. lol. The processing is stunning too...total fav.
such wonderful depth to this capture Jerry, love the storm clouds, the layers in the mountain range, and then that agriculture wheel (?)...it all works together so nicely! The tones are so rich, is that a hint of HDR I detect? LOVE this! Fav'd!
Definitely worth stopping for - great shot. You need to find a fellow shooter to head out with one day. It makes all the difference when both parties are happy to stop 100 times a day if you get that magic shot.
I'm glad that you pulled over, this is an amazingly beautiful shot. The composition is wonderful - I love the rusted wheel or whatever it is in the foreground with the mountains in the back. Excellent - FAV

beautiful. That's some big wheel. I wonder if it's one of those spools that powerlines come wound on. When they were done hanging the lines, they abandoned the spool.
