I know, what are they thinking starting school on a Thurs! I had to mark this day! These are my little sweethearts, that aren't so little any more, walking to their first day of school! This is also my "push" challenge from @northy for a street shot up close! ...I know but they are on the street! OK, I'll try again tomorrow! :o) I have the next two days off so it's time to get serious with my street challenge! :)
This is lovely! You can feel the smiles in their faces, I had a hard time understanding starting school mid week but was told that it is easier and they don't get as tired! I think they meant the teachers :)))
For the brief years that my children went to school, I did like getting the "first day of school" photo. This one is SO fabulous with the story it tells. Very cute!

This is just such a great moment captured, Jerry! Love it! I gotta say, I love the "Hello Kitty" backpack too. My daughter just had to have one too and we ordered one in off white with nerdy glasses. Just so fun!

We used to go back to school midweek after the long summer holiday to break everyone in gently back to the routine.
Sweet Shot Jerry...special first day of school memory! I have one starting school Monday and already have prepped him that Mom will be doing her traditional first day of school photo...not going over so well now that he's a "high schooler", LOL!

wonderful! the shot and that fact that these sisters don't mind heading to school together. Not sure why, but I didn't like walking to school with my sisters. I was a crazy loner I guess.
Not that bad starting on a Thursday actually, only two days to go before crashing at the weekend (my four year old really had to get used to going to school again). Wonderful sister shot, and I love the way their hair is done.
