I found this old nasty water valve and thought the texture would make a great macro for the ons3 challenge. I noticed it had a leak and the droplets kept getting my attention! So I had to shoot the whole thing! It was taken with my macro lens, does that count? ;o)
I want to thank everyone that participated in the One Night Stand challenge! It makes it so much fun when there are so many of us suffering together! :o) Looking forward to part 4!
I did the same thing for my photo today. I was going to take a water drop pic, but the bokeh from the other drops in the background was too pretty to pass up so I had to shoot wider. I did an alternate shot because I thought I was cheating! (As if we would be punished, right?) I totally love this! The depth of field, composition and texture of the gnarly faucet are nice!
I always use my macro lens for all sorts of things! Sure it counts! Great textures as you said yourself and a great last shot for ons3. I was lots of fun, Jerry!
Love this! Has a lot of character and a great close up. Thank you for putting the ONS challenge together and I am definitely looking forward to part 4!
great textures indeed! my 100mm macro virtually lives on my camera for 2 reasons, 1, thats how best my lenses stack into my bag is by having my 100mm on camera and 2, its my favourite lens by far :)
I need to get here more quickly so I can actually look at your photo WHILE I'm typing in my comment instead of scrolling my screen up and down eighteen times. LOL. Wonderful capture, Jerry. The details are fabulous. It's amazing the things I used to find "ugly" or "mundane" can be so fascinating now, like rust, graffiti, etc. The nice clean drop of water in this shot offers such a stark contrast to everything else, including the cobwebs. Love it!! Fave, for sure. :)
Now that thing looks ancient! I love the colours around it. Thanks so much for the fun challenge and I'm glad it brought some of the old timers out of the woodwork. I just hope some of them stick around now.
Great find and capture, wonderful details. This has been a great challenge (in more ways than one!), what with selfie, street photography and candid all in one week! Thanks for putting this together and I await number 4. :-)
Great find and capture. Amazing how droplets can distract us. until 365 I always thought a droplet was a bit of water....NOW i know it is in fact a very cool relflection of what is around us. :)
fantastic shot, love the focus and the decayed look of the tap! It was great fun doing the challenge and i will definately be in next time around.....thanks:)
I may well join you in the next ONS challenge but I usually find out a bit too late to start! I love this. Having a similar tap in our garden has inspired me to maybe give it a go xx
Thanks for hosting this challenge...it was fun!
Love the dripping tap!
