This is it! This is the infamous bridge! I've been trying to shoot this thing forever and I'm never happy with any of the shots! We'll I finally found something I'm happy with enough to post...texture! I've been playing around with textures for a while now. Textures are great for taking boring uninteresting pics and turning them into something cool! :o) Actually I really like how this turned out!

Jerry this is absolutely fabulous - and a FAV - love the texture that you put into the photo - i have been playing with the image blender app on my Iphone and creating all sorts of textures which i love - you are right about a boring picture becoming something cool
I love it! FAV! ....but taking "boring uninteresting" pics is NOT this one with or without the texture overlay! the leading lines are so interesting to me. i love textures too, and use them all the time (except on this project; maybe i will now that you have emerged with one. haha)
looks pretty good with that texture! i imagine it would look good without it, but i can see that it might need some good light or something to give it some vibrancy and tone...
@tctime Thanks, TC! Actually this is one of my nonfence jumping shots! :o) This bridge is out in Rancho San Diego. Its opened to the public and leads to paths that go through the hills. Underneath of this thing is some great graffiti!
I agree - that texture adds some interest. But your composition with my eye leading down the middle is cool, too! Is this a walking bridge? What's beneath it? Now I want to see down there. :)
@doyouseewhatisee This was once a road before they built the hwy. Now its blocked off to any vehicles. Its nice that they saved it instead of tearing it out! I have a shot of the underneath a few months back. A little sketchy! :)
Oooo awesome textures and lines! And I couldn't agree with you more! Texture layers are like icecream... put it on top of anything and it becomes amazing! :) hahahhaha! But honestly this shot would've be incredible even without the layer :) Super job! It is a cool bridge! :)
I think this shot would be fab even without the texture. The strong lines, pov and that stretch back taking the eye to the end are great. Great bridge shot.
I like it too! LOL I think the lines of the texture make good leading lines back into the bridge...so it gave it great depth. I feel like I am standing there on the bridge. Very nice! fav
so glad you got a shot you liked. I once had a subject that was just never working for me and I finally nailed it and then went back and hated the next series of photos.
