This is from the beach the other day. I noticed this surfer taking a break to watch the sunset. Its always good to take a moment for those flowers!
I feel like I've been on this B&W thing lately! I might post the color version in my other album once I get off my butt and pay my ACE fee! ;)
Instant fav! I love the drama and detail of the b&w (but am curious about the sunset colors). I'm a huge fan if leading lines even though I don't shoot them much myself. Sounds like some homework for me! Great shot Jerry and sentiment.
we have same bridge here but so f****ng humid to be out and shoot---Nway,this is gorgeous, yes pay the Ace cuz wanna see more of ur masterpieces---fav :)
this is wonderful. I really want to do something like this, so I'm very curious as to processing/filters. Was this done with an ND filter? Special processing? I'm currently looking at an ND filter and would be so thrilled if there was a chance I could get anything something like this.
@ridley I did an HDR on this using Photomatix. After that I openend it up in PS and I duplicated the photo and used " multiply" as the blend mode for the top layer. If you have a PC, hold the "alt" button and click the layer mask. That will hide the darker version behind the original. Then use the brush tool and highlight where you see fit. I hope that made sence, Michelle! :)
@orangecrush THANKS! That helps tremendously -- If I accomplish something even half this wonderful, I'll be thrilled. I should have done this earlier, but FAV!
Another fantastic shot. The line of the pier is takes me straight to the sun and then I pull back to notice the detail under the pier, in the clouds, and in the sand. Fav!
