This is a gritty looking photo. The scene looks still to be in the depths of winter without vegetation and the knob of the mountain so bare and smooth looking.
This reminds me of that 'nearly there' feeling that turns out to be so very inaccurate. Probably still a fair walk ahead to get to the top. I like the low pov showing all the tufts of grass.
