Taste for raindrops by overalvandaan

Taste for raindrops

Roz, when we walked out of the supermarket.

I feel I've come to a stand still photography wise, I need to focus on a theme or technique or something, but can't get myself into gear.
First off this has the usual charm that your children pictures has. , I always find January a month when inspiration and drive are in short supply There's just no light.....

Schattig.
Ik worstel met het zelfde probleem. Na bijna 2000 foto`s, wat nu?

Sweet shot! Your kids always look adorable and sort of "wild".
I have off and on times too, and sometimes it is the right thing to step away for a while. The good thing is that 365 still will be around in a few days, weeks and months and so will your old friends.

Your photos are always lovely. You've been at this quite a while. It's your project and if you have to skip day(s) do it. When you do take some images they'll be thoughtful - not just a snap to fill the gap.

Don't get yourself down. This is a very poignant picture!

I like the challenges for inspiration, but I don't think I could do a theme because it would give me more reasons not to take a picture than to take one. But if you do go to themes, I'd say do only a week of them before changing themes? Dunno.

@snowy thanks Diana.

@ahleena thanks Popppy, you might be right about the themes, maybe that's why I can't get myself in gear. it's just that I want to challenge myself, but can't decide how to (yet).

Another lovely shot of the moment. I hear your need to pause. It's good to listen to yourself from time to time. It's easy for photography to be about the need to produce something. I find when that pressure is there, its important to give in, and remember that photography is at least in part, about responding to your own sense of connection with what your eyes see and your heart feels. So relax, and take the time to sense a new connection that gives direction to the next stage of your photography. In the meantime I'll miss your inspiration!
