'Snowdrops: Theirs is a fragile but hardy celebration... in the very teeth of winter.' - Louise Wilder
For the Black and White challenge, subject Flora.
In Dutch we call the Snop Drop a 'Sneeuw klokje' = snow bell.
Also for 52 week challenge. This week's theme:
Wildcard: Photographer's Choice
Capture an image on your terms; who, what, where, when, why, how… it's all up to you. Caveat: You must tell us your intent.
My goal was to join the black and white challenge with subject flower. Deliberately processed it dark. It is winter here. More hours dark than light, can you hear my cabin fever :-) For me the crocosmia leaves are protecting the snowdrops, like a warm coat for the winter.
dont be afraid to do a little 'gardening when you do outdoor shots, i think the long horizontal is a bit distracting and could have been removed before you shot this... having said that cc i really like the processing!
@kali66 yes, thanks for feedback, see what you mean. It's one of the stems of the crocosmia. I noticed it through the viewfinder when I took the picture, but thought it natural. But yes, would be 'calmer' for the eye without it.
