Towering cloud by padlock

Towering cloud

Long day today as we took our youngest son down to look at Exeter Uni. Brand new gym, great accommodation and he was impressed with the tutors for the course he is interested in. What more is there to say apart from him getting a good set of results.
The tree in front of the cloud is one of three remaining dutch elm trees in Hertfordshire, the black spots are the scourge of my life, jackdaws. I do love wildlife and birds but there is no natural predator for these birds and we make tailor made nesting sites by not blocking the chimneys, result the young return. Oh well nature will be as it is.
I like the way the tree reflects the shape of the cloud.
Congratulations to your son - I hope he enjoys his time at Exeter

Wonderful cloud formation. There were certainly some moments with them yesterday. Good luck to your son too.

Interesting - just 3 components in this pic - the dark trees at the bottom, the cloud and the blue sky. Keeping it simple works for me!

Love clouds (and I've just spotted someone else has made exactly the same comment above!!) Round here it's the magpies that are a complete menace!

@paulaw Think the jackdaws have now overtaken the magpies. I think next year we will have a problem with parakeets, what were 6 now number a flock of 25 plus, very noisy and destructive.
