Well after much research and thinking about it decided to go back to have some guitar lessons. Have been playing a while but have reached a level and cant seem to push through it so thought I would go and find a teacher. Not easy as I don't want lessons in the evening, weekend and prefer a more mature tutor who knows that the blue's is not a colour. well have found one who I get on with but did suggest the only gadget in my music room with dust on would be the metronome!!!!! How right he is, agreed to get it out and use it so here it is. Can't quite describe how I loath it but will try and stick with it. 15 mins practice each day with doesn't sound a lot but it is to me at the moment.
Ah, yes, remember it well. I have an earlier (old fashioned version I've considered getting a photo of) one of these that I, too, could have thrown a baseball bat at! Aurgh! Hated that durned thing.
Well done - big step to make but it will be worth it (there's a good metronome app that might be less obtrusive - Alexander uses it and prefers it to my big mechanical one)
