Head to Head

Spent a wonderful day at Bushey Park with @emmadurnford and her friend @creampuff. great to meet different people and creampuff was definitely different but a font of technical knowledge about cameras. The rut is in full flow and these two Fallow Deer although young were having a real tustle. Plenty of pictures of the big Red deer but thought I would save these for another day. as ever when I go to take pictures of deer it does rain. Well worth the effort for a visit if you can.
Love it........instant fav, looks like they are imploring you to untangle their antlers:)

Not sure if you remember me asking about this lens but after three months mine finally arrived from the US and I think it is amazing! My 70-200 cost twice the price but of course it is f/2.8.

@bella_ss sheralee, sorry no but I love it. Yesterday was challenging with the light but if I can operate at about f11 results are great. The shot of the kingfisher pushed it to it's limit but I got a shot. Have bought a monopod which helps. Sigma have now bought a competitor out at about £1500 in the UK. Haven't seen it yet. Glad you like it bargain in my eyes.

@padlock Thanks for your reply Padlock, I'm thinking a monopod will be a great addition to my equipment. I'm bracing one elbow against my stomache :)

Wonderful capture. Fav

@bella_ss It is, you are able to steady the beast a little easier and sometimes use a slower shutter speed. Would suggest that you need quite a sturdy one, I have a cheap one nice and light but I think at some time in the future i will need something stronger.
