Red Deer Rut-view in black if you have the time.

Well for once when I was watching Deer is wasn't raining. Spent a good few hours at Woburn and finally got the shot that I had been waiting for. These two Stags had been calling and sizing each other up for quiet a while when it all kicked off. They do come together with a crack and really go for it. This tussle must have lasted about 10 minutes at which point the one on the left decided enough was enough and ran for it. Wonderful day and if you can get to Woburn go as it appears the rut is in full swing.
Wonderful Padlock!! Love this action shot. There was lots of calling and a bit of chasing the other day but I didn't actually get to see any fights this time. It really is exciting once they get going!! Fav!

552mm? That's some lens you're using, Mr P. Great shot

@pistonbroke interesting Pete it shows up as 552mm here on my Mac it shows as a 300mm when it is a 600mm, Use it attached to the 7D so in reality it is nearer 900mm.
