This little fellow was at the Herts Wildlife day at Gobions Wood, Herts. Yes it is a "black" barn owl. Born from normal parents but a genetic derivation much like and albino. If it had not been born in captivity it wouldn't have survived.
A stunning cutie --owls are so fascinating to watch -- from those big eyes that seem to see it all -to the massive turn of the head A beautiful shot Padlock !
