A chance shot of the male today as he decided to sit in the warm sunshine and pose for me. Don't doubt that soon he will move on to search for a mate. I have no idea if they will return here or go to where the female is. The decider for that will be nesting site and availability of food. Good to see that the "Kingfisher Photo Crowd" appeared to have given up. From what I understand the Kingfisher has not been showing as much-what a surprise, oh well it was good whilst it lasted.
