Why is it a lucky shot, well one should have the camera ready before starting to look for wildlife. Result walk around the corner and sitting there as happy can be is a female Kingfisher. No camera out of bag, no lens on camera and monopod in bag. Anyway managed a shot without lens cover and pretty silly ISO and shutter speed for a long lens without the monopod. Fraid it is a lesson I really must learn.
