What a day, arrived at about 10.00am and the action didn't stop for about 4 hours. At some point I didn't know which way to look as the three Kingfishers shot past, over me at high speed. Finally the wait paid of and this is the picture a pair, the female is on the top left(she has an orange lower mandible) and the male is on the right with the black beak. Most unusual at this time of year as breeding is over and it is usually the time to establish feeding zones. All i can say is that there must be plenty of food for them to tolerate each other. What a result.
To get this wonderful focus fairly far apart was amazing. How excited you must have been to get them in the same shot. Fabulous color and just getting to watch the action must have been fantastic. Fav
