Not sure what gave me most pleasure today taking some really good shots of this male Kingfisher or loaning my lens to a very junior wildlife photographer and see their face light up with the shot they got. Better still perhaps the look of terror on the parents face when told the cost of the lens!! Now that was a picture.
You do yourself a disservice,you not only lent it to that young wildlife photographer, but also that chap who thought he'd died and gone to heaven. So generous of you as you missed some other great shots. But you are right, the look on their faces was magical - you were so kind.
