Male Kingfisher with gap in beak by padlock

Male Kingfisher with gap in beak

This is a very close shot for me. We had been looking at Kingfishers all morning and I finally managed to capture this male who has a very distinctive beak.
No cropping on this shot. Thanks as ever for the company and entertainment @pixiemac and @rookynook snort expletive, must get a new lens!!!
It was a pleasure to share the riverbank with you, kingfisher nutcases together. This is just so awesome, that pale background and the sharpness of the orange feathers overlaying the blue.....just WOW

Great shot as usual- you obviously had an extender on an already huge lens. I bet this wasn't hand held!
