Zombie Blue Jay

I was shocked to see bald Blue Jays at the bird feeder. I thought they might be sick, but when I looked it up on the internet, it said it was just a normal molting process. They shed all their head feathers at the same time, and fresh ones will grow back!

we have blue jays and I have never noticed that. Glad you said, because I would have thought they were sick or injured.
