Peony

It rained all day. I cut some peonies, and brought them inside to photograph. I have been working on moody flower shots with natural window light. I have a ways to go before I achieve what I envision. I like the flower, but I feel the image may be to dark. Any suggestions?

I love the style and mood of this (no surprise there 😁) but if you wanted more texture in the background, how about a lighter coloured, contrasting background with water coloured painterly type effect? Or on a makeshift light box?

I think it is fine the way it is but you could adjust the curves in Photoshop and give it a bit more contrast
