Cats Choose Us

Wanda watches the dogs from her perch on the deck railing. Wanda came in from the cold seven years ago. We think she was once part of a TNR feral colony because of the notch in her ear,
Fabulous focus, bokeh...Wanda is darling :)

I really love the colors in this shot.

Sweet capture and beautiful background.

She's a beauty ... love that bokeh background

Beautiful I love the bokeh background , hope you don't mind me saying but in the top left hand corner there is something which just slightly distracts my eye, not sure if it can be cropped out? Fav

Lovely capture. The background bokeh is pretty :)

Great photo of her, she is very fluffy - no good for my cat allergy but lovely to look at on the page.

What a beautiful cat... love the gentle look on her face... and her curly whiskers... she's gorgeous... and the photo too - I love it.

Cute

She is gorgeous. You are right, cats do choose their owners. We have acquired two cats over the years who chose to live with us.

That seals the deal! Cats ABSOLUTELY do choose us! I have a number of them! This little gal is a beauty...and so smart to have found her way to you! Don't we wish we could save them all?!

@moonmtn @stray_shooter @sunshinepix @aecasey @hermann @mandygravil @atchoo @elisasaeter @onewing Thank you for your kind comments. Wanda thanks you too!

@Weezilou Thank you so much. I don't think that one person can save them all, but if all of us save a few, we can do it! (I went to the Best Friends conference once, and that was the general message. Also, if I ever finish it, I am writing a novel called You Can't Save Them All. I just read a few chapters of it the other day and wished I had written more . . .better get to work!)

@pamgleason May I encourage you to go back to work on your book! I would see that title, pick it up and most likely go home with it! We have two cats in our back yard who arrived *years* ago (one must be about 18) and we caught them one to have them neutered, but they've never let us touch them *ever* again! Still, they show up for every meal and often sleep in the yard. We have 3 house cats (one, the kitten of one of those ferals), one who hung around the yard for a couple of years and now Buttercup from Canada! I've done all I can to save a few! Never regretted it for a minute and consider myself the lucky one to look after them!

@Weezilou Okay, now that you have said that . . .I have put it on my list of things to do this year! (I have three or four unfinished novels, to be honest, and have not managed to get much more than halfway through them, even though I know what is going to happen and how and I really like my characters. Somehow, something (work, play) always gets in the way. But, no more excuses. When I finish the book, I promise to send you a signed copy!

@pamgleason
In Lunenburg I have a neighbour who spends summers there for the sole purpose to write...she's published a number of books for teens, historical fiction. She rises early, and if I want her to come for coffee, her break is at 10:30. She's an active person, walking, rowing, hiking...but her focus is her books. Wishing you much success!

@Weezilou Thank you! Rising early would be a good idea for me --- but I am such a night person, it is hard! Also, my "real" job is writing, though a different kind, so that somehow makes it harder! I promise to try however and stop making excuses . . . tomorrow? Well. soon. really.
