20th March 2015 - Partial Eclipse of the Sun

Here I am in the East Midlands of the UK and the cloud cover was quite thick - of course!! Gradually little pockets and holes appeared in the cloud and just as it came over quite dark like dusk a hole appeared just where the sun was!! I don't have any filters and so I took this using Live View. Trying to focus was very difficult so not as pin sharp as I would like it but hey I am thrilled to have seen this and to have captured this snap of it even better!!

Nicely done through the clouds.. Naturally, you'll have clouds when you least want them.. It seems every time there is even a bit of a partial eclipse here we get cloud cover.
