16th June 2015 - Looking out to Sea

What a perfect day!! We drove over to Bempton Cliffs which is an RSPB reserve and we saw two of my favourite birds - puffins and gannets. It was a long drive through beautiful countryside and well worth it!!

Many thanks for your great comments on my view of the shepherds Hut which got it onto the PP!! So pleased!!

What a lovely surprise this morning to see this on the PP! So pleased you like it!
Excellent shot spam.

@terryliv I know - I know! Not a long way in your terms but it was not on straight roads like yours but little windy ones with hairpin bends and very steep hills - following flipping tractors! 6 hours driving in total there and back with a few stops for Finlay. Worth it though!

Oh Pam, my heart would ache to see one of these beautiful birds! I understand that some reside somewhere up around Nova Scotia so I haven't given up hope! Your photo is *absolutely perfect*! Now if I actually get to see one, would I possibly be lucky enough to get such an amazing photo...?!

@Weezilou I will just warn you Louise these birds are really small. It was the RSPB man who pointed him out to me on a cliff which was covered with thousands of gannets and razorbills. Good luck in your search - so worth it when you see them!!

@pamknowler Wow Pam...I thought they'd be as big as a penguin! All the more congratulations for getting good photos! hmmm...maybe I'll *need* some new camera equipment, just in case... (any excuse!)
