Finlay is so scruffy at the moment. He has had an ear infection so I have not bathed him - just put him in the sink to wash his muddy feet. His fur is so thick and I think he needs to go for a trim. My sister keeps saying no leave him until it gets warmer!! He will look like a sheep if I leave him much longer!! Back to the vets tomorrow to check his ear which I think is ok now. Then I think we will have a visit to Rhona for a little trim - a Teddy Bear cut and he will still have thick fur!!
Finlay will be 5 years old on the 8th January - I think I will get him smart for his birthday portrait!! LOL!!
It was a delight to see yesterday's shot on the PP and even better to see my Storm Warning on this weeks TT!! Wow - so lovely to see it there amongst so many fab shots!!
But have you asked Finlay if you could post a rather (for him) unflattering portrait? He does have a reputation to maintain with his world wide fame! OR is he pretty down to earth despite his fame, with a good sense of humor about how scruffy he can be after vacationing (like an actor growing a bit of a beard?). I bet he'd have a strong opinion!
I'm not big on pet photography! So I rarely comment on pet photos. But this guy reminds me of my brother and sister in law's dog that they had for many years.
Again.... Finley is so darn cute. My concern about letting our dogs go too long with a grooming is that their hair will mat. Bradley and Bailey get their haircuts about every six to seven weeks.......

@pamknowler Another darling photo of Finlay, even if he is a bit on the wooly side. I have a little mixed breed dog who honestly needs a haircut but since it's so cold out I hate to trim her short, so for now she stays "scruffy".
