Great shot Pam, I don't think it's 100% accurate but this is probably a female. The males tend to have a more complete orange breast. It can be difficult to tell sometimes in the wild as they flit around, and it's not always as obvious as the plumage this bird is showing.
@markp Thanks so much for the info Mark. The two in the garden do look very different which is good so I can tell them apart. I wonder if I will be seeing some babies later in the year? Fingers crossed.
