I noticed we were supposed to be looking at textures in B&W for Flash of Red this week. I have checked out most of my shots from yesterday's walk in the country park where I took lots of images of lichen growing on the trees. It really is surprising when you like a shot in colour and yet it converts badly to B&W and you end up with a grey image!!
This is a shot taken with my fisheye lens looking up a tree. I loved the bright yellow and green lichen growing on the bark and have converted it to B&W using Nik Sillver Efex Pro. I am not sure it works. It looks so much better on black!!
