Feed me!! by pamknowler

Feed me!!

I had to quickly get my long lens out of my hand luggage this morning to capture the robin feeding two babies. Most of the shots are blurry as the babies quiver the whole time and flutter their wings. I am so pleased there are two and just hope they stay off the ground when Finlay is in the garden. He has been known to catch a baby bird!!

I am off tomorrow to Canada for a couple of weeks - an exciting adventure awaits!!

Thanks for your lovely comments and favs on my images - so very much appreciated !!
Oh this is so lovely Pam. I always think the chicks look as big as their parents!!

I love the interaction you've captured -- so expressive! Hand luggage? Clearly I have been off site for a bit and missed that you're traveling.

Have you ever tried burst shooting for this kind of shot Pam. You can do it with your camera, or if the subject's closer an iPhone's good too.

@golftragic this was taken with high speed burst Marmie. The babies quiver so much the whole time it was impossible to get the one image where the baby was completely in focus! I always use high speed burst for bird shots especially flight shots.

The babies of this species are SO CUTE, all freckled and speckled like that! Glad you took a moment to capture this duo!

And a Fave for being on the plane to Canada!!!

Super shot

@pamknowler Blimey, they must quiver at supersonic speeds. Great work to get this one. Sorry, should've kept my trap shut, especially since I don't do bird shots.

@pamknowler -- that's two places I have never been but am interested in going to some day! Looking forward to the stories and photos!
