Young Blue Jay by pamknowler

Young Blue Jay

I sat in the garden this morning waiting for the blue jays to come down for the nuts. I was a bit late as Ken told me they were very active at about 6am!! Finally this youngster came down and actually stayed in position for a moment allowing me a couple of shots!

Best on black

Many thanks for your great comments and favs on my Nova Scotia images - very much appreciated!!

Brilliant one! So clear!! We have a bird feeder and are trying to figure out where to put it up. Any suggestions give the squirrels and chipmunks we'll be fighting?

@taffy Taffy I would site your bird feeder quite near a tree or bush as they like to and on something before making the jump to the feeder. Just make sure you put it somewhere you can see it for photo opportunities. I don't have a squirrel or chipmunk problem so can't help on that front.
