Young stag by pamknowler

Young stag

More from Woburn Deer Park. Had a play in Topaz Textures with this one.

He looked like a young stag to me - maybe his first year when he will be trying his luck during the rut in the hope of stealing some females away from the dominant stags.

Best on black.

Many thanks for your lovely comments on my uploads - very much appreciated!!
So regal and handsome!

Love this shot and the vignetting works nicely as well. Don't know too much about Textures, or whatever. I must try to figure those out someday. We do get deer walking down our suburban street occasionally. But one must always rush for the camera and try to sneak close enough. Now that I have a longer lens, they never seem to be around. Perhaps because the drought is behind us. Though it has not properly rained since March or so. But that is fairly normal.. But that dear you have captured is a regal looking beast and you have more than done him justice.
