The faceless Duchess by pamknowler

The faceless Duchess

When the Duchess of Devonshire wanted to wear this dress she had to have the permission of the Queen to have it off the shoulder. Very daring!! How times have changed!!

I found the faceless mannequins very creepy in this exhibition.

I took this image into Topaz Textures to get rid of the faces of the people standing on the stairs behind the model. Too many people!!

Many thanks for your great comments on yesterday's uploads - very much appreciated!!
A lovely shot, nicely processed

I find them very creepy and rather unsettling. But the dress and the story are very interesting, and you've removed the intruders totally.

Great job on the processing - impressed at how you got rid of those faces - really focuses on that dress. Nice lighting, too.

That is an amazing dress. By today's standards, barely off the shoulder. You did a great job at removing the cluttery spectators, too.
